I am a freelance, Spanish to English translator based in Carbondale (Western Colorado, USA). I am a native US English speaker and have over 4 years experience as a freelance translator.
I completed my Certificate in Translation (Spanish to English) at New York University in May, 2009.
I also hold a Masters Degree in Education from Arizona State University and Bachelor's Degrees in English and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin. I am currently pursuing my Master's in Spanish Linguistics at New Mexico State University.
Currently, I am an Adjunct Professor of Spanish at Colorado Mountain College in Carbondale and Glenwood Springs, Colorado. I teach Spanish, levels 1 through 5, and also lead a summer abroad program to Spain. I am currently the International Programs Coordinator for Colorado Mountain College.
I am an active member of the American Translators Association, the Colorado Translators Association and the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages. I am also an active alumnus of Teach For America, an Americorps program.
Software that I use includes: Trados Freelance Studio 2009, 2007 and Multiterm 2009, SDLX, Trados Workbench, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
